Privacy & Cookies
This page explains, in plain language, what information is collected when you visit ABD ALHAMED's homepage or click a social link on it, and why.
No cookies are used to track you
This site does not set tracking cookies and does not use any third-party analytics service (like Google Analytics). The only cookie this site can set is a technical, session-only login cookie for the site owner's control panel — it is never set for regular visitors.
What is collected when you view a page
- Technical & device info: whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer; your operating system (e.g. Windows, macOS, iOS, Android); your browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox); and your screen resolution.
- IP address and location: your IP address is recorded, and is used to determine your approximate country, region and city, and your network provider (ISP) — or, if you're browsing from a company network, sometimes that organisation's name. This lookup is done locally, on this server, using an offline database; your IP address is not sent to any third party for this.
- How you arrived: whether you came from a search engine, a social network, another website, or typed the address directly (from the standard "referrer" your browser already sends).
- Which pages you viewed and roughly how long each page stayed open.
What is collected when you click a social/profile link
The same categories above (device, IP/approximate location, network provider, and how you arrived) are logged for the specific link you clicked, before you're redirected to the destination, so the site owner can see which links are getting used.
What is not collected
- Your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information — unless you choose to give it to us by submitting the contact form.
- Anything from other websites you use. This site cannot see your accounts, logins, or activity on other services (for example, clicking a link to a social network does not reveal your profile there to this site).
- Any tracking that follows you across other websites.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, phone number (if given) and message you submit are stored so the site owner can read and reply to them, and are emailed to the owner. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry.
Legal basis & your rights
Visitor statistics are collected on the basis of the site owner's legitimate interest in understanding and securing their website's traffic. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or request deletion of information relating to you. To make such a request, use the contact details on the homepage.
How long is data kept, and who sees it
Visit and click statistics, and contact messages, are stored in the site's private database and are only visible to the site owner, in the control panel. They are not sold or shared with advertisers or any other third party.
Questions
